I hated sleeping beside you in your single bed. During the warm summer nights, cradling myself to sleep in my corner of your tiny bed, giving you all the room possible with your size, I hardly got a blink of sleep.
But it was worth it, by morning, because by then I would have woken up a thousand times, only to turn into your side and bury my head into your chest, your arm swung around my shoulders, cradling me then instead, from the breeze of the breaking dawn.
Sometimes I was awake, sometimes I wasn't really, but you remembered.
And it was worth it, because you said that was the best part of having me by your side at night.
