When she said she wanted to cross the seas and explore the skies, she didn't want a boat or an airplane, she wanted wings.
"You're too free," he whispers, and she wonders how anyone can be too free.
He thinks of how he can never ground her and keep her safe, with him, so he gives in to her, for the sake of her happiness, and just watches her.
And with every smile and laughter that escapes from her lips, and for every dream dreamt, his heart breaks a little inside.
